Nick Hayes has become a phenom in the sailing community. His recent book, “ Saving Sailing” is based on the largest and most significant primary research study on sailing ever conducted. He has toured the world’ s yacht clubs, sailing organisations, yachting museums ans schools talking about his research and the state of our favourite pastime, He considers the effects and consequences that the realities of changing lifestyles, family dynamics and culture have on sailing.

Nick a keen sailor himself, has studied sailing, sailors and sailing clubs for years, interviewing over 1,200 sailors worldwide since 2003 in preparation for writing this book and has talked to more than 6,000 sailors during subsequent book tours. While not everyone will embrace his bold conclusions, he provides them with the intent of helping to make sailing as irresistible for others as it is for him and his family.
